Los científicos estudian cómo crecen las células cancerosas en el espacio. El resultado sorprende a todos. Las células cancerosas crecen mucho más rápido que en la Tierra. Los científicos creen que la razón es la débil gravedad.

Los científicos se centran en un gen llamado adar1. Este gen hace que el cáncer regrese. Cuando los científicos cambian este gen, impiden que las células cancerosas se multipliquen. Un fármaco llamado Rebecsinib actúa contra este gen. Los astronautas ayudan donando su sangre para las pruebas. Sin embargo, el fármaco aún no está listo para las personas. Los científicos esperan empezar pronto las pruebas para utilizar esta nueva forma de detener el cáncer.
