Incendios en Canarias – nivel 3

Más de 4.000 personas han sido evacuadas de La Palma, en las Islas Canarias, debido a un incendio forestal que ya ha destruido 4.500 hectáreas de terreno y una docena de viviendas en el noroeste.

El incendio supone un riesgo de propagación a las islas vecinas, ya que la ola de calor de Caronte está afectando al sur de Europa y Marruecos. El gobierno regional ha emitido una alerta oficial para las islas vecinas, incluidas Tenerife y Gran Canaria.

La Agencia Espacial Europea predice temperaturas récord, que podrían superar el récord de 48,8C de Sicilia. Un estudio relaciona el cambio climático con unas condiciones meteorológicas extremas más frecuentes y graves. Grecia se enfrenta a una ola de calor, y EEUU, especialmente el sur de California, también experimenta calor extremo e incendios forestales.
