La población estadounidense sigue luchando por leyes más estrictas sobre las armas de fuego, pero los legisladores aún no han aplicado ninguna legislación. Según las autoridades, este año ha habido más tiroteos masivos que días.
Una empresa de seguridad de Alabama ha desarrollado habitaciones seguras a prueba de balas que pueden proteger a los niños durante este tipo de incidentes. KT Solutions creó una habitación blindada plegable que los trabajadores instalan dentro de las aulas. La habitación se puede montar en 10 segundos y protege a niños y profesores en situaciones en las que hay un tirador en la escuela. Cada sala cuesta más de 50.000 dólares.
Kevin Thomas es el diseñador de las habitaciones. Dice que las habitaciones blindadas no resuelven el problema de los tiroteos masivos, pero mantienen a salvo a los niños si ocurre algo así.
