Las aves rapaces derriban drones – nivel 3

La gente sabe que los halcones salvajes pueden arrebatar drones en pleno vuelo, ya que los confunden con aves más pequeñas, y fueron esos incidentes los que llevaron a los investigadores a suponer que se podría entrenar a las aves rapaces para derribar aeronaves rebeldes.
La Policía Nacional holandesa ha aceptado este reto y está llevando a cabo un proyecto piloto. Ha habido tanto éxitos como contratiempos. Hubo algunos casos en los que las aves resultaron heridas por las aspas giratorias de los drones, y la gente pidió más investigación para asegurarse de que los animales no sufrieran ningún daño.
Tras la investigación, la Policía holandesa decidirá si despliega o no una flota de águilas cazadoras con drones.
