En Asia Central hay presas llenas de residuos peligrosos. Estos residuos proceden de minas de uranio.
En 2017, hubo un terremoto. La zona ya no es estable. Las presas pueden romperse. Si ocurre, será un desastre tan grande como Chernobil. Hay ríos cerca de las presas. Millones de personas utilizan el agua de estos ríos. Los agricultores la necesitan para sus campos. Una catástrofe perjudicaría a Kirguistán, Uzbekistán y Tayikistán. Allí viven 16 millones de personas.
Los expertos europeos quieren alejar los residuos. Costará entre 22 y 25 millones de euros.
