Los cuidadores del Zoo Nacional del Smithsonian querían dar a sus animales algunas lecciones de música.
Colocaron un teclado y un xilófono de juguete delante de las nutrias de garras pequeñas. Mientras las nutrias disfrutaban con el teclado, Bonnie la orangutana disfrutaba con el xilófono.
Un programa de enriquecimiento animal trajo la improvisada lección de música para aportar más diversión a la vida de las criaturas y para desafiarlas y estimularlas.
El zoo forma parte de la Institución Smithsonian, que alberga los mayores museos y complejos de investigación del mundo. El zoo tiene 2.000 animales de unas 400 especies y cada año acuden dos millones de visitantes.
