Los científicos encuentran un asteroide llamado 2024 YR4. Es grande, de entre 40 y 90 metros de ancho. Podría acercarse a la Tierra el 22 de diciembre de 2032.
La probabilidad de que choque contra la Tierra es pequeña, sólo del 2%. Los científicos afirman que no debemos preocuparnos. El asteroide probablemente no alcanzará nuestro planeta. Al principio, los científicos no están seguros de adónde irá a parar un asteroide. Más tarde, obtienen más información. Pueden ver mejor su camino. Si viene hacia la Tierra, pueden intentar alejarlo. La NASA ya lo ha intentado antes.
Los científicos seguirán observando el asteroide antes de que se aleje en mayo. Después, no volverán a verlo hasta 2028.
