Zohra Zarougui es una artista tunecina que utiliza un estilo de pintura muy antiguo llamado Ebru.
El Ebru es del siglo XV y procede del antiguo Irán, Persia, y de la antigua Turquía, la Turquía otomana. Desde entonces, se trasladó a más países, por ejemplo, India o China, donde los artistas utilizaron diferentes colores y formas de realizarlo.
Zarougui utiliza una cacerola con agua aceitosa, y añade tintes para hacer dibujos de bellos colores. Luego coge un trozo de papel o lienzo y traslada el dibujo sobre él.
Zarougui dice que no fue fácil aprender este estilo. Pasó muchos años en otro país para estudiar Ebru, y obtuvo un título en ello. La mujer tuvo que abandonar su hogar porque no era posible estudiar Ebru en Túnez.
