Se incendia un barco con coches eléctricos – nivel 2

Un barco que transportaba más de 3.700 coches se incendió cerca de la costa holandesa.
El barco lleva a bordo unos 500 vehículos eléctricos, entre ellos BMW y Mercedes-Benz. El incendio causó la muerte de un miembro de la tripulación, y otros siete saltaron al agua para salvarse. La empresa de fletamento de barcos K Line reveló que tenía 498 coches eléctricos en el barco.
Aún se desconoce la causa del incendio, pero los fuegos de baterías de iones de litio pueden ser difíciles de apagar porque arden a más temperatura y duran más que los de gasolina. Los rescatadores consiguieron subir a bordo para asegurar cabos de remolque más resistentes. Las autoridades están investigando el incidente.
