El Tribunal de la Corona de Manchester declaró a la enfermera Lucy Letby culpable de asesinar a siete recién nacidos. El tribunal también declaró que Letby intentó matar a otros seis en un hospital de Inglaterra donde trabajaba.
Tras 10 meses de juicio, el tribunal declaró a Letby la peor asesina de niños del país. Inyectaba insulina o aire a los bebés, y también les obligaba a beber leche. Estas cosas solían ocurrir por la noche. El personal del hospital se percató de muertes inusuales y llamó a la policía.
Letby dejó una nota en su casa donde decía que era culpable. Aunque parecía una buena persona en las redes sociales, el tribunal tenía pruebas de que quería hacer daño a los bebés. Los incidentes tuvieron lugar entre junio de 2015 y junio de 2016.
