Unos científicos encuentran un extraño objeto dorado en el fondo del océano, cerca de Alaska. El objeto parece una bola pequeña. Los científicos creen que podría ser un huevo de un animal desconocido. También podría ser una esponja del mar.
Un submarino robot lo encuentra muy profundo en el agua, a unos 3,2 kilómetros de profundidad. Los científicos están haciendo pruebas para saber más sobre la bola. Se siente como una piel suave. Los científicos utilizan un brazo robótico para recogerla y llevarla a un laboratorio.
Esto ocurre durante una gran misión para aprender más sobre el mar en Alaska. Los expertos están observando animales y rocas de las profundidades marinas. La misión finaliza el 15 de septiembre.
