Un tribunal holandés ordenó a un hombre que dejara de donar esperma. Los jueces declararon que Jonathan Meijer era padre de entre 500 y 600 niños en todo el mundo.
El hombre no debe hacer más donaciones a clínicas. Si lo hace, podría ser sancionado con una multa de hasta 110.000 dólares por cada infracción. El tribunal también dijo que las clínicas en el extranjero debían destruir todo el semen almacenado, salvo el reservado a los padres que ya hubieran tenido hijos de Meijer.
Los padres holandeses que recurrieron a Meijer como donante dijeron que sus futuras donaciones podrían causar incesto accidental y endogamia.
