Multa a una librería – nivel 2

La segunda librería más grande de Hungría recibió una multa de casi 36.000 dólares.

La librería infringió una ley que prohíbe los libros y películas LGBTQ para niños. La razón por la que la librería recibió la multa fue que no envolvió en plástico una novela LGBTQ. Pero la ley de 2021 dice que todos los libros de temática LGBTQ deben envolverse y venderse por separado, lejos de escuelas o iglesias. El primer ministro Viktor Orban apoya estas ideas cristiano-conservadoras, pero la UE las critica. El director creativo de Lira dijo que la ley era poco clara y afectaba a muchos libros, incluso a las listas de lectura de las escuelas.

Algunas personas están molestas porque no es la primera multa a una librería. Pero no hay forma legal de que la librería cambie la situación.
