Filipinas se encuentra en una situación de emergencia energética nacional.

Hay una guerra en Oriente Medio y a Filipinas le cuesta mucho conseguir petróleo. Por eso, el precio de la gasolina y el gasóleo es ahora el doble de lo que era antes. Esto complica mucho la vida a la gente de a pie.

Incluso el precio del arroz se ha duplicado porque sale caro transportar los alimentos a las ciudades. El presidente tiene ahora poderes especiales para ayudar al país. El gobierno puede controlar los alimentos y el consumo de energía de la gente. Los oficinistas ahora solo trabajan cuatro días a la semana para ahorrar electricidad.

El gobierno está dando algo de dinero para ayudar a los conductores, pero mucha gente dice que no es suficiente. La gente está planeando protestar porque la vida se está volviendo demasiado cara.
