Australia impedirá que los menores de 16 años utilicen las redes sociales el 10 de diciembre. Esta norma hace que los creadores de contenidos quieran trasladarse a otro país. Dicen que perderán mucho dinero de los anunciantes.
Un famoso YouTuber, Jordan Barclay, planea marcharse. No puede mantener su negocio en Australia si la gente deja de gastar dinero en anuncios. La ley obliga a las empresas a cerrar más de un millón de cuentas de adolescentes. Esto significa que los creadores obtienen menos visitas y menos dinero. Los creadores más pequeños con seguidores australianos serán los que tengan más problemas.
Algunos creadores también están preocupados porque el gobierno dice que el contenido de YouTube es malo para los niños. Creen que los padres mantendrán a los niños alejados de sus vídeos.
