La IA está ahora en todas partes: en teléfonos, sitios web y redes sociales. Ayuda a las personas, pero también ofrece a los estafadores nuevas formas de mentir.
Uno de los peligros es la tecnología deepfake. Los estafadores pueden utilizar la IA para copiar la voz o la cara de alguien y hacer vídeos o llamadas falsas que parezcan reales. Pueden pedir dinero o fingir que alquilan un apartamento. Estos trucos son cada vez más difíciles de ver.
Para mantenerse a salvo, la gente debe comprobar de dónde procede la información, pensar antes de actuar y buscar signos extraños como el habla robótica o caras raras en los vídeos. Hablar de estafas con familiares y amigos también puede ayudar a detenerlas.
