La Dra. Jane Goodall, experta británica en animales, ha muerto a los 91 años en California. Se encontraba de gira dando conferencias cuando falleció por causas naturales.
Goodall se hizo famosa por sus estudios sobre los chimpancés en África. Empezó a trabajar con 26 años y sin formación científica, pero enseguida se ganó la confianza de los animales. Sus investigaciones ayudaron a comprender a los chimpancés y también a los humanos. Goodall trabajó toda su vida para proteger a los animales y la naturaleza. A menudo hablaba sobre la esperanza y el cuidado de la Tierra. Antes de su muerte, dio entrevistas y charlas en EEUU.
Su instituto continúa su misión de proteger el planeta.
