Antoni Gaudí fue un famoso arquitecto español. Empezó a construir La Sagrada Familia en Barcelona en la década de 1880. Quería que la iglesia estuviera llena de luz y ayudara a la gente a sentirse cerca de Dios.

Gaudí utilizó formas de la naturaleza y líneas especiales en su obra. Sabía que no podría terminar la iglesia, así que dejó planos para que otros los siguieran. Hoy en día, los nuevos arquitectos utilizan ordenadores e impresoras 3D para copiar los modelos de Gaudí y hacer piezas nuevas. También prueban el edificio para asegurarse de que es lo bastante resistente frente al viento o los terremotos. Uno de los problemas era que los cimientos no podían sostener las altas torres. Los ingenieros utilizaron piedra y acero para hacer piezas más fuertes. Pronto, la iglesia será la más alta del mundo.
