Playas tóxicas de Sri Lanka – nivel 2

Sri Lanka tiene un gran problema en su costa. Bolitas de plástico, petróleo y sustancias químicas están llegando a las playas. La contaminación procede de un barco llamado MSC Elsa 3 que se hundió en mayo.
Los trozos de plástico se llaman nurdles, y son muy pequeños. Los animales pueden comérselos por error. Las personas que pescan en el mar están preocupadas porque los peces y la vida marina podrían morir. Muchos trabajadores están limpiando las playas, pero no es suficiente. Los expertos dicen que Sri Lanka debe mejorar las leyes y las herramientas para evitar que esto vuelva a ocurrir.
Este suceso recuerda a una catástrofe ocurrida en 2021, cuando otro barco se incendió cerca de la costa. El tribunal ordenó a los propietarios pagar mucho dinero por los daños. Ahora, la gente quiere la misma acción para este nuevo caso. Sri Lanka debe proteger el mar y evitar más daños.
