En algunos países como España y México, la gente está enfadada con los turistas. En Barcelona, los habitantes utilizaron pistolas de agua contra los turistas. También hubo protestas en otros lugares.
Muchos visitantes hacen que las ciudades estén llenas y concurridas. También encarecen los alquileres. Algunas personas no pueden encontrar un lugar donde vivir debido a los alquileres turísticos.
Más turistas también consumen más agua y electricidad, y algunas ciudades no tienen suficiente. Los comercios se convierten en tiendas de regalos, y los habitantes locales se sienten como extraños en su propia casa. Las redes sociales y los vuelos baratos llevan a más gente a los mismos lugares sólo para hacer fotos.
Pero no todos los países se sienten así. Tailandia y Marruecos siguen queriendo más turistas. Algunos lugares utilizan ahora impuestos o normas turísticas para ayudar. La gente debería intentar viajar de forma que sea bueno para los lugareños.
