El cometa más antiguo que conocemos – nivel 2

Los astrónomos vieron un extraño objeto en el espacio la semana pasada. Dicen que puede ser el cometa más antiguo jamás encontrado. Se llama 3I/Atlas y podría tener casi ocho mil millones de años. Esto es mucho más antiguo que la Tierra o el Sol.
Este cometa procede de fuera de nuestro sistema solar. Es sólo la tercera vez que los científicos ven algo tan lejano. Un equipo de la Universidad de Oxford compartió esta noticia en una reunión científica celebrada en Durham.
Creen que el cometa procedía de una parte de la Vía Láctea llamada disco grueso, que tiene estrellas muy viejas. A finales de este año, 3I/Atlas podría pasar cerca del Sol y dejar una estela de polvo brillante que podremos ver desde la Tierra.
