En 2019, un incendio destruyó uno de los mayores monumentos de Francia, la catedral de Notre Dame. El presidente Emmanuel Macron dijo que restaurar Notre Dame traerá esperanza al mundo.
Macron visitó el edificio con su esposa, el arzobispo de París y el arquitecto principal, Philippe Villeneuve. Se necesitaron cinco años para reconstruir la catedral, y Macron elogió el duro trabajo de todos los que participaron en las obras.
En la restauración se utilizaron medios antiguos y nuevos para arreglar el famoso edificio sin perder su historia. Notre Dame reabrirá pronto y mostrará el asombroso esfuerzo de todos los que trabajaron en ella.
