Un artista pinta sobre el agua – nivel 3

Zohra Zarougui, artista tunecina, pinta sobre agua utilizando una antigua técnica de marmoleado llamada Ebru.
Este arte no se enseña en Túnez, por lo que Zarougui tuvo que viajar y estudiar en el extranjero. Obtuvo un máster y, tras años de investigación y experimentación, regresó a Túnez.
La artista crea piezas a partir de patrones de antiguas ciudades del mundo árabe. Espolvorea tintes de colores brillantes en cacerolas de agua aceitosa y luego transfiere los motivos a un lienzo de papel. Según Zarougui, hacen falta años de estudio para poder sacar a la luz la historia de este arte y sus técnicas y métodos. Su experiencia duró varios años fuera del país, y requirió mucho valor y sacrificio.
El arte del Ebru apareció y evolucionó por primera vez en el siglo XV en Persia y la Turquía otomana. Algunos de los métodos utilizan colores que flotan sobre un baño de mucílago líquido.
