Los expertos dicen que cuando los padres son demasiado estrictos, los hijos pueden rebelarse y saltarse las normas. Es mejor hablar abiertamente con los hijos sobre la tecnología y enseñarles a elegir cuidadosamente lo que hacen. A medida que los niños crecen, deben aprender a ser responsables en Internet, y los padres deben dejar de vigilarlos. Algunos adolescentes piensan que deberían dejar de ser rastreados a los 16 años.
