En Líbano, más de 100 personas resultaron heridas y al menos tres murieron por la explosión de walkie-talkies. La Cruz Roja Libanesa dijo que hubo muchas explosiones en distintas zonas del país, en el sur y el este. Esto ocurrió un día después de explosiones similares de buscapersonas. Hay quien piensa que la agencia de espionaje israelí Mossad está detrás de los atentados, pero Israel no ha dicho nada al respecto. Hizbulá utiliza estos dispositivos para hablar con sus combatientes y ahora tiene problemas por ello.
Mucha gente está enfadada porque hay civiles heridos. Los expertos dicen que Hezbolá responderá, pero no de forma que inicie una gran guerra.
