Una persona muere en el incidente. Se detienen los vuelos nacionales. Los funcionarios cierran la terminal. Deben comprobar si hay más problemas. Nueva Delhi recibe 228,1 mm de lluvia en 24 horas. Los vuelos se retrasan y las estaciones de metro cierran. Hay grandes atascos.
Se cae el techo de la Terminal 1, utilizada para vuelos nacionales. Ocurre sólo unos meses después de que unos obreros lo renovaran. Las vigas metálicas aplastan los coches. Todos los vuelos de la Terminal 1 se detienen hasta primera hora de la tarde.
