El Real Madrid conquistó su 15º título de Liga de Campeones, todo un récord, al derrotar al Borussia Dortmund por 2-0 en la final de Wembley.
Tras una gran primera parte del Dortmund, el Real Madrid dominó la segunda. Vinicius Júnior aseguró la victoria al marcar en el minuto 83, nueve minutos después de que Dani Carvajal marcara de cabeza tras un saque de esquina de Kroos. El portero del Madrid, Thibaut Courtois, realizó varias paradas importantes, y Niclas Fullkrug remató al poste. Esto mantuvo el marcador igualado hasta el descanso.
El entrenador del Dortmund, Edin Terzic, lo hizo bien en la primera parte, pero el entrenador del Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti, hizo buenos cambios para la segunda parte. Jude Bellingham desempeñó un papel clave en el segundo gol que acabó con las esperanzas de victoria del Dortmund.
