Científicos encuentran hormigas rojas peligrosas en Sicilia, Italia. El año pasado vieron por primera vez estas hormigas en Europa.
Estas hormigas proceden de Sudamérica. Son un gran problema en Brasil, China y EEUU. Estos países gastan mucho dinero en matar a las hormigas. Estas hormigas dañan las plantas. Se comen las raíces. Atacan a otros insectos. Nadie sabe cómo llegan estas hormigas a Europa. Pero pueden ser un gran problema para Europa en el futuro. Suelen estar en jardines y parques infantiles.
En Sicilia, los trabajadores utilizan máquinas de vapor. Destruyen las hormigas. Pero sigue habiendo nuevos nidos. Es necesario matar a las reinas.
