Las empresas de ropa fabrican demasiada ropa. Esta ropa no dura mucho. La gente las tira después de unas cuantas veces. La gente no piensa en lo que ocurre con esta ropa.
Millones de toneladas de ropa viajan desde Norteamérica, Europa y Australia. Van a países como Ghana o India.
En Ghana, los trabajadores clasifican y venden esta ropa. La cantidad de ropa es excesiva. El 40% de esta ropa se convierte en basura. Acaban en los ríos y en el mar.
Los trabajadores de la India fabrican nuevos materiales con parte de esta ropa. Incluso estos materiales se convierten en residuos un día.
Algunas empresas quieren cambiar la situación. Fabrican ropa de mejor calidad. Duran más. El problema es que la mayoría de las empresas no quieren cambiar. Sólo les importa el beneficio.
