Noah Verin era chef en Sidney (Australia), pero en 2020 puso en marcha un negocio insólito.
La empresa de Verin se llama Urban Green, y el hombre cultiva hierbas y microgreens en un aparcamiento del centro de Sídney. Actualmente cultiva 40 plantas diferentes, y utiliza luces y ventiladores para mantener el aire fresco.
Verin quiere que su negocio sea neutro en carbono para 2026. Ya ha reducido el consumo de energía en un 50%, y ahora está sustituyendo los envases de plástico por otros materiales. También utiliza un medio natural para cultivar sus plantas.
Verin entrega sus productos a restaurantes locales, y éstos están muy satisfechos con la calidad. Las plantas no viajan desde muy lejos, y vienen en las macetas y no cortadas, por lo que son muy frescas.
