Ahora, el barco se encuentra en un puerto australiano durante una ola de calor, y el exportador quiere descargar algunos animales. Otro barco, el Jawan, se dirige a Jordania con 60.000 animales. Si no puede atravesar el Mar Rojo, podría descargar en el Golfo.
El Ministerio de Agricultura de Australia está decidiendo sobre el barco varado. Algunas personas se preocupan por el trato que reciben los animales y quieren prohibir las exportaciones de ovejas vivas. La industria australiana de exportación de animales vivos se enfrenta a desafíos, ya que el año pasado se enviaron al extranjero más de medio millón de ovejas y vacas.
