Cuando alguien estornuda, en algunos países la gente dice ‘Que Dios te bendiga‘. Nadie sabe realmente el origen de esta respuesta, pero la gente tiene varias teorías al respecto.
Antiguamente, cuando alguien estornudaba, la gente pensaba que su alma abandonaba el cuerpo. Sólo veían ‘Que Dios te bendiga‘.
En el siglo VI, hubo una plaga en Europa, y el Papa Gregorio I ordenó a la gente que diera la bendición a alguien que estornudara. En el siglo XIV, se produjo otra plaga, y una persona que estornudaba podía enfermar. La gente empezó a decir: ‘Que Dios te bendiga‘.
Hoy en día, para mucha gente, esa respuesta es una reacción natural, y muchos piensan que es de buena educación decirlo. En algunos países, la gente no lo dice. Por ejemplo, en los países de lengua española, la gente dice la palabra ‘salud‘. Significa algo así como ‘buena salud‘.
