En 2021, el telescopio espacial James Webb empezará a tomar fotografías del universo. Recientemente, ha tomado imágenes asombrosas de 19 galaxias espirales.

Estas imágenes nos ayudan a saber cómo nacen las estrellas. Sabemos más sobre cómo evolucionan las galaxias. El telescopio utiliza principalmente luz infrarroja. Las personas no pueden ver esta luz. Esta luz puede ver a través del polvo y estudiar las estrellas que hay detrás. Las galaxias de las imágenes están bastante lejos. La galaxia NGC5068 está a unos 15 millones de años luz de nosotros.

Estas imágenes son especiales. Muestran muchos detalles nuevos sobre las estrellas. También nos dicen más cosas sobre el polvo y las nubes de gas. Aquí es donde nacen las nuevas estrellas.
