La empresa Maersk informa de problemas en los puertos del norte de Europa a causa de las tormentas invernales y los problemas relacionados con las vacaciones. Están provocando congestión en las terminales de contenedores.
Las empresas desvían buques del Mar Rojo y el Golfo de Adén debido a los ataques de los Houthi, y eligen rutas más largas por África. Maersk prevé más problemas en Europa y en las terminales del Hub. El director general dijo que podrían durar varios meses.
Los clientes de Maersk pueden volver a utilizar el transporte aéreo en Omán y EAU para reducir los retrasos. Las tarifas de transporte de contenedores en las principales rutas comerciales están aumentando porque las navieras prevén más problemas en el futuro.
