Turquía tiene su primer astronauta en el espacio. Se llama Alper Gezeravcı.

Él y otras tres personas realizan un viaje al espacio. Viajan desde Florida en una cápsula de SpaceX para llegar a la Estación Espacial Internacional (ISS). El viaje durará 36 horas. Una empresa llamada Axiom Space organiza el viaje. Los astronautas realizarán experimentos en el espacio durante unas dos semanas. Quieren comprender cómo afecta el espacio a la salud de las personas.

Axiom cobra 55 millones de dólares por que una persona vaya al espacio. El viaje demuestra que muchos países quieren explorar el espacio. Es importante para la ciencia. Pero también quieren demostrar que son lo suficientemente buenos.
