En Alabama, Estados Unidos, una mujer con dos úteros da a luz a dos niñas gemelas.

Kelsey Hatcher y su marido dan la bienvenida a Roxi Layla y Rebel Laken en un hospital. Este embarazo es muy inusual. La probabilidad es de una entre un millón. El médico de Hatcher lo sabe. Pero está muy sorprendido. El embarazo es arriesgado. Los médicos lo interrumpen a las 39 semanas. Al cabo de 20 horas, nacen los gemelos: uno normalmente y el otro mediante una operación.
