Tus pertenencias perdidas, incluida esa camiseta favorita que te dejaste durante un vuelo a California, podrían estar a la venta en la tienda Unclaimed Baggage de Scottsboro, Alabama.
En funcionamiento desde hace más de 50 años, esta tienda de 4.600 metros cuadrados alberga objetos no reclamados durante al menos nueve días por las compañías aéreas. La tienda, un destino de compras más que un típico objetos perdidos, atrae a visitantes como Susan Boatman, que viaja desde lejos para descubrir tesoros. Fundada en 1970 por el empresario Doyle Owens, la tienda empezó cuando Owens compró equipaje no reclamado en Washington DC por 300 dólares y se agotó el primer día.
Aunque el 99,5% de las maletas suelen reunirse con sus dueños, el resto se vende o recicla, y algunas incluso acaban en un museo de la tienda.
