Singapur y Zúrich son ahora más caras que Nueva York, según el Índice EIU.
El índice analiza los precios de bienes y servicios en 173 ciudades de todo el mundo, por ejemplo, transporte, alquiler, alimentos y alcohol. Ginebra, Nueva York y Hong Kong están entre las cinco ciudades más caras. Los precios mundiales aumentaron un 7,4%, algo menos que el año anterior. Los precios de los alimentos siguieron subiendo, mientras que la fuerte demanda de viajes tras la pandemia supuso un aumento de los precios del transporte.
En 2024, los expertos esperan tipos de interés más altos, menor actividad empresarial y demanda de consumo.
