Ola de calor en Europa – nivel 2

Italia, España, Francia, Alemania y Polonia se enfrentan a condiciones severas durante la ola de calor de Caronte.
La semana pasada, las temperaturas en Grecia alcanzaron los 38 grados centígrados y las autoridades cerraron la Acrópolis para proteger a los turistas del calor extremo. La Agencia Espacial Europea advirtió de posibles temperaturas récord que podrían ser peligrosas para algunas personas.
Un estudio muestra que el año pasado 61.000 muertes en Europa se debieron al calor. El sur de Europa también espera altas temperaturas la próxima semana. Joan Ballester, del Instituto de Salud Global de Barcelona, dijo que era importante ayudar a las personas que corren mayor riesgo. El calor es muy peligroso para los ancianos más pobres que no tienen dinero para comprar aire acondicionado.
