Disney’s Animal Kingdom trabajó durante 25 años para aumentar la población de animales amenazados como leones, jirafas y rinocerontes.

Tienen un gran hospital de animales que se ocupa de todos los animales, no sólo de los populares. El personal gestiona 1.500 dietas y alimenta a los animales con 4.500 kilos de comida al día. Disney también apoya la conservación de la vida salvaje con 120 millones de dólares. Se asociaron con investigadores para utilizar abejas para mantener a los elefantes alejados de las granjas africanas. Ahora quieren ayudar a las mariposas amenazadas, como la monarca, creando jardines polinizadores.

En el Día de la Tierra, los expertos en conservación pidieron a la gente que cultivara sus propios jardines polinizadores para ayudar a su reino animal local. Incluso tú puedes plantar algodoncillo y crear tu propio jardín polinizador.
