La hemofilia es una enfermedad. Significa que el cuerpo tiene problemas para detener las hemorragias.
En los años 70 y 80, miles de pacientes con hemofilia del Reino Unido necesitan sangre nueva. La sangre procede de EEUU. Parte de la sangre procede de personas que consumen drogas o de presos. Están enfermos. Tienen hepatitis C o VIH. Cuando los pacientes reciben la sangre, también enferman. Mueren 3.000 personas. Es una gran tragedia para sus familias. Mucha gente quiere que el gobierno se responsabilice de lo que ocurre.
En 2017 se inicia una investigación. La semana pasada, los funcionarios dicen que el gobierno debe pagar 125.000 dólares a las familias. Pero no es la suma definitiva.
