El legislador australiano Jeremy Buckingham prendió fuego al río Condamine de Queensland para mostrar el impacto de la industria del gas de veta de carbón y de las operaciones de fracturación hidráulica (fracking) en las cercanías.
En el vídeo, puedes ver al diputado acercando un mechero al río, que prende una enorme llama. Tras recuperarse de la conmoción, Buckingham pronuncia unas palabras sobre lo ocurrido, abogando por que se detenga la perforación de gas metano a sólo un kilómetro de distancia.
