En Japón hay una nueva palabra para referirse al tiempo: nivel 2

El verano en Japón es ahora tan caluroso que en el país se ha acuñado una nueva palabra: «kokushobi». Significa «día de calor insoportable» y se usa cuando la temperatura supera los 40 °C.

El japonés suele tener palabras muy suaves y bonitas para referirse al tiempo, pero esta nueva palabra suena aterradora y grave. Medio millón de personas la eligieron en una votación. El año pasado fue el más caluroso en Japón desde 1898. Los científicos dicen que los días de 40 °C son cada vez más habituales debido al cambio climático.

Este calor extremo es muy peligroso para la salud de las personas, especialmente para los mayores. Cuando hace mucho calor y hay mucha humedad, el cuerpo humano no puede refrescarse fácilmente. La nueva palabra, kokushobi, es una advertencia para que todos recuerden que deben mantenerse a salvo y beber agua durante estos días peligrosos.
